In January 2019 a Nationally Recognized Rail-car Manufacturer elected to contract outside services to provide maintenance, stores and purchasing responsibilities at several of their larger facilities. New to the area, and accustomed to purchasing through national MRO agreements, the new service provider was unaware of the long-standing service and source of supply through Advanced Industries. In the first quarter of 2019, AI saw a drastic decline in purchases through the new contractor.
Even with consistent effort to promote competitive pricing and unequaled service, progress remained slow for the first half of 2019. By the end of mid-year, and with several critical maintenance requirements at the plants left behind schedule by other suppliers, Advanced Industries began to once again prove itself through tough opportunities.
Local employees continued to promote Advanced Industries competitive pricing, on time delivery and field service response to their corporate counterparts throughout these times. Reliance on Advanced Industries quickly then began to grow, and by year end, Advanced Industries was recognized as a primary supplier to the contractor to keep the end user’s operations up and running at a premium level.
By the first quarter of 2020, Advanced Industries has not only become a primary supplier locally, but filling needs for the MRO contractor throughout North America.
